Why Is Food Important For Our Life - 1524 Words
Mmm-mm Good #1: Introduction ââ¬Å"One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.â⬠This quote by Virginia Woolf is like my motto for life. She should have added that ââ¬Å"one cannot live wellâ⬠in there also. Food is the basis for life; if someone wants to live they have to eat. Food is what provides people with enough energy to get through the day, it is what satisfies hunger cravings, and it also is what provides your body with the nutrition needed throughout your life. People eat when they are happy, sad, angry and mad. People make a living off of cooking good food, and some people even make a living off of eating good food too. Whether it is a family gathering or a quick pick up and go meal, food plays a huge role in my everyday life. #2: Importance of food Food plays a very important role in my life. Not only because it is needed for survival, but also because of the way food can bring people together, symbolize an entire culture, and either positively or even negatively affect someoneââ¬â¢s life. Food has brought my family and I closer through picnics at family reunions, huge dinner parties for super bowl Sunday and family gatherings for the holidays. Usually everyone in my family will bring a specific dish they are best at making to a get-together. This makes the food even more enjoyable because everyone cooks and seasons differently.
